NFL Notes: 49ers, Bears, Broncos, Dolphins, & Rams

 

49ers

• Jonathan Martin appears to be in position to get another start right tackle as Anthony Davis did not practice on Wednesday. (Matt Maiocco)
• Bruce Ellington could be used in the running game particularly on fly-sweeps given that the 49ers currently have just two running backs on their 53-man roster. (Matt Maiocco)
• GM Trent Baalke mentioned in recent interview that they did not grant RB LaMichael James his release and instead felt it was just time to move on without him. (Matt Maiocco)

Bears

• Bears signed KR/WR Chris Williams to their practice squad. (Jeff Dickerson)
• Bears released LB DeDe Lattimore from their practice squad. (Jeff Dickerson)

Broncos

• Broncos signed WR Nathan Palmer to their practice squad on Thursday.

Dolphins

• LBs Philip Wheeler and Koa Misi both will not play against the Bills in Week 2. (Armando Salguero)

Rams

• The Rams signed DT Matt Conrath to their active roster on Thursday. (Eastern Athletics)
