NFL Notes: 49ers, Bengals, Browns, Colts, & Ravens

49ers

• Paul Gutierrez of ESPN writes that the 49ers “actually don’t want Arik Armstead to contribute right away” and would instead prefer that he make a big contribution next season.

Bengals

• Coley Harvey offers his predictions for the last four to be cut at the end training camp: DT Devon Still, OL T.J. Johnson, QB Terrelle Pryor and LB Marquis Flowers.
  As for the final four players to make the 53-man roster, Harvey lists: LB Jayson DiManche, WR Denarius Moore, G Trey Hopkins and DT Marcus Hardison.
  Harvey expects LBs A.J. Hawk, P.J. Dawson and Emmanuel Lamur make the team this summer.

Browns

• Pat McMananmon guesses that Browns S Tashaun Gipson is targeting a similar contract to the one recently signed by Patriots S Devin McCourty, who walked away with a $47.5 million, $28.5 million guaranteed and included a $15 million signing bonus.
• McMananmon can see RB Isaiah Crowell as the one player who benefits the most from the team’s new offensive scheme.

Colts

• Mike Wells believes a number of rookies could see “significant snaps” this season including: WR Phillip Dorsett, CB D’Juon Smith, DE Henry Anderson, DE Clayton Geathers, NT David Parry, and RB Josh Robinson.

Ravens

• According to Jamison Hensley, the Ravens will keep TEs Crockett Gillmore and Nick Boyle no matter what happens with Dennis Pitta and his return from a hip injury.
• Hensley considers the Ravens’ secondary to still be the weakest spot on their roster, even after they signed S Kendrick Lewis and CB Kyle Arrington this offseason.
