49ers

49ers HC Jim Tomsula mentioned that they elected to hold out RBĀ Carlos Hyde of the second half of their Week 2 game as a precaution.

“He was evaluated for a head injury,” Tomsula said, viaĀ CSN Bay Area. “He was cleared, but (we) opted not to put him in.”

Browns

Browns HC Mike Pettine said that until QB Josh McCown‘s situation is resolved, he’ll remain the team’s starting quarterback.

ā€œ(QB) Josh (McCown) is in the concussion protocol still,” Pettine said, via ClevelandBrowns.com. “So until that situation is resolved, then he will be the starter.ā€

Pettine was asked if Johnny Manziel could start when McCown is cleared, to which he said:Ā ā€œWeā€™ll cross that bridge when we get to it. Iā€™m not going to speak on that one.ā€

Cowboys

Cowboys TEĀ Jason Witten mentioned after Sunday’s game that he is dealing withĀ two sprained ankles and a sprained knee.

It’s just some bumps and bruises,” Witten said, per Bart Hubbuch. “Typical football stuff. I’ll be fine.”

Dolphins

  • The Dolphins also lost free agent acquisition TEĀ Jordan Cameron during Week 2’s game against the Jaguars with a groin injury.

Eagles

  • Eagles HC Chip Kelly confirmed that they will evaluate all aspects of the team’s offense including QB Sam Bradford, following a bad loss to the Cowboys on Sunday. (Pro Football Talk)
  • Kelly did say that at no time did he consider benching Bradford.
