NFL Notes: 49ers, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Dolphins, & Jets

49ers

49ers GM Trent Baalke shot down the rumors that they’ve made QB Colin Kaepernick available trade.

Colin is our quarterback and we are excited to have him,” Baalke said in a statement, via CSN Bay Area. “He is not going anywhere. The media reports suggesting otherwise are without merit and, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Jayson Braddock reported the 49ers have put Kaepernick on the trade block and are in the process of fielding offers from teams. According to Braddock, the Eagles and Bears both inquired about a trade.

Buccaneers

  • Jeremy Fowler mentions that the Buccaneers would make sense for free agent OLB Jabaal Sheard, as it would allow him to go back to playing defensive end.

Hawks are picking up All-Pros and the Niners are picking up weed dealers. Not a good look.
