Dolphins HC Adam Gase said he “absolutely” has confidence in QB Ryan Tannehill starting Week 1 of the regular season.

“It was probably tougher for me because it’s more and more real,” Gase said, via the Miami Herald. “The fact that it’s him — he knows his body, he knows how he feels. It’s unfortunate for him. He’s worked so hard to be available for us. Those guys put in a lot of work during the offseason to get to this point.

Rams recently acquired WR Sammy Watkins said he was “shocked” to be traded from the Bills.

I was shocked just like everybody else,” Watkins said, Pro Football Talk. “I have to get to know everybody on the staff and the team, and let everybody earn my trust and I earn their trust and just be a part of the team.”

Watkins added that he is completely recovered from his foot injury that bothered him last season.

I’m 100 percent. The foot thing is out the door. I probably have to get in a little bit better shape, but other than that, I’m fine,” said Watkins.
