49ers

• OLB Aldon Smith will meet with the city attorney in Los Angeles Wednesday to hopefully resolve the LAX bomb threat he made months ago. (Mike Garafolo)

• CB Sean Smith continues to work with the second-team defense, despite the Chiefs need for help at corner. (Adam Teicher)
• Rookie De’Anthony Thomas had a great day of practice on Wednesday, lining at both running back and a receiver and making “several” big plays. (Adam Teicher)
• S Sanders Commings returned to practice after missing time with a strained foot, but wound up getting carted off the field later in the day. (Adam Teicher)
• Undrafted rookie WR Albert Wilson is making a “strong bid” for a roster spot. (Adam Teicher)

Eagles

• The Eagles offensive should be able to create a number of mismatches with LeSean McCoy, Darren Sproles and their athletic tight ends on the field at the same time. (Field Yates)
• WR Jeremy Maclin is showing no ill effects from his ACL injury. (Field Yates)
• S Malcom Jenkins is a “big upgrade” for the Eagles’ secondary. (Field Yates)

Jets

Ravens
