NFL Notes: 49ers, Colts, Raiders, & Saints

49ers

Tracey Kaplan of the Mercury News has some details from the affidavit regarding former 49ers DL Ray McDonald.

A woman, who was drinking with McDonald, claims that she was sexually assaulted by him at his home after she had passed out by the pool.

She told police that she began feeling dizzy and sick after two drinks — on top of what she had already consumed earlier in the evening — and wanted to go home.

The women woke up the next day naked in McDonald’s bed. He told her that she had fell asleep in his bed because she was tire. However, he later added that they had sex.

She spent the remainder of the day with McDonald and 49ers OLB Aldon Smith, who stopped by for drinks.

“S— just happened,” McDonald texted an officer pretending to be the alleged victim, according to the affidavit. “We were just enjoying the moment … I don’t understand why you’re bothered. U chose to stay with me another day.“

It’s worth mentioning that Smith is still on probation for his 2013 DUI, which could be an issue for him and the 49ers in the coming months.

Colts

• HC Chuck Pagano told reporters on Monday that he expects WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) to return for Week 17’s game. (Stephen Holder)

Raiders

• Bill Williamson of ESPN suggests 49ers HC Jim Harbaugh and Broncos DC Jack Del Rio as the two candidates to watch regarding the Raiders head coaching job.
• Williamson adds that there is a chance that interim HC Tony Sparano could also be a candidate for the job.
• Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle believes there is a “very good chance” the Raiders keep GM Reggie McKenzie for a fourth season.

Saints

• Saints players expressed their support for DC Rob Ryan, who has been under a lot of criticism for the team’s poor defensive play this season. (Mike Triplett)
