NFL Notes: 49ers, Eagles, Jets, Ravens, & Redskins

49ers

  • The 49ers are reportedly interested in Eagles WRs coach Bob Bicknell, but Matt Barrows mentions that Philadelphia has blocked him from interviewing with teams.

Eagles

  • Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly reports that 49ers HC Jim Tomsula and Eagles WRs coach Bob Bicknell discussed him taking the 49ers offensive coordinator job.
  • However, Bicknell told them that he wanted to remain with the Eagles.

Jets

  • Adam Schefter reports that former Jets QB Kevin O’Connell is interviewing Wednesday for Browns QBs coach position.

Ravens

  • The Ravens have officially named Richard Angulo TEs coach, Chris Hewitt secondary coach, Andy Bischoff offensive assistant, Drew Wilkins and Mike Macdonald defensive assistants, and Matt Weiss CBs coach.

Redskins

  • Albert Breer reports that the Redskins didn’t request permission to speak to Packers executive Alonzo Highsmith because Green Bay made it known that they wouldn’t give them permission.
  • Washington would have reportedly created position for Highsmith.
  • Breer adds that the Redskins aren’t looking for someone else fill the role they would have gave to Highsmith.
