NFL Notes: 49ers, Packers, Ravens, & Seahawks

49ers

Packers

  • HC Mike McCarthy told reporters on Friday that he isn’t thinking about his contract situation even after GM Ted Thompson mentioned that addressing his deal is likely their next move.

To me,” McCarthy said, via Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “everybody that works here has a business part of their place here. That’s just part of it. I’m focused on training camp; there’s a process in place that will take its course. I’ve never sweated it. I love it here. I’m not worried about it.”

Ravens

  • QB Joe Flacco had another “sluggish” practice on Friday, which included a dropped snap and an interception. (Jamison Hensley)
  • P Sam Koch converted field goals of 60 and 51 yards on Friday, so they have some insurance if something were to happen to Justin Tucker. (Jamison Hensley)
  • The Ravens were forced to line up CBs Chykie Brown, undrafted rookie Tremain Jacobs and Asa Jackson with their first-team defense due to injuries.

Seahawks

Terry Blount of ESPN.com reports that Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch wanted another $5 million in concessions from the team before eventually agreed to report to training camp.

The deal Lynch ultimately agreed to has reportedly been on the table for him since May.

According to Blount, the team informed Lynch that he would have to report by the end of the week or his fines would be imposed.

So far, the Seahawks have waived the $240,000 fines that would have come from his signing bonus, but haven’t agreed to give him back the $30,00 per-day in fines he accumulated by sitting out of camp.
