San Antonio city manager Sheryl Sculley said on Wednesday that they “we’re still in conversations” with the Oakland Raiders, despite the fact that a report mentioned the team is close to an agreement on a new stadium.
“It appears to be a textbook response from a community that is under fire for not getting their stadium situation figured out,” councilman Ron Nirenberg said, via MySanAntonio.com. “Until we are told that San Antonio is no longer an option for the Raiders, I believe we still have to line up all the elements that would make an NFL deal possible here.”
