Adam Gase

• Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Broncos OC Adam Gase will meet with the 49ers and Falcons on Friday.
• Klis adds that Gase also has an interview scheduled with the Bears on Sunday regarding their head-coaching vacancy.

Teryl Austin

• The 49ers and Falcons have requested permission to speak with Lions DC Teryl Austin regarding head-coaching vacancy.

49ers

• Kimberly Jones reports that Rex Ryan will interview with the 49ers on Sunday.
• Pro Football Talk mentions that Ryan “loves” QB Colin Kaepernick, which could help his chances of getting the job.

Bengals

• Bengals signed WR Eric Ward to their practice squad. (Geoff Hobson)

Bills

• Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the Bills added the opt out clause to Doug Marrone’s contract because they believed that it was critical to persuading him to take their job over the Browns, who were offering a higher salary.

Jaguars

• Jaguars signed free-agent DB Jeremy Deering to a futures contract.

Steelers

• Steelers signed WR Danny Coale.
• Steelers placed WR Tim Benford on the practice squad injured list.
