NFL Notes: Andre Johnson, Cardinals, Eagles, & Ravens

Andre Johnson

Andre Johnson‘s agent, Kennard McGuire, tells Pro Football Talk that he has asked the Texans to cut Johnson as they have no plans try to seek a trade out of Houston.

Cardinals

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said on the NFL Network that they knew RB LeSean McCoy was available for trade, but declined to make an offer.

No, it wasn’t a good fit for us,” Arians said, via Pro Football Talk.

Arians still thinks this is a great move for the Bills.

“Great move for Buffalo,” Arians said. “Not that Alonso is not a great player — I think he’s going to be, coming off surgery — but when you have LeSean’s resume, that kind of speaks for itself.

Eagles

  • Adam Caplan reports that the Eagles signed LB Brad Jones to a two-year deal worth $2.85 million and included $500,000 guaranteed.

Ravens

The Ravens announced that veteran OLB Jarrett Johnson will retire as a Raven.

It would be an honor to retire a Raven,” Johnson said. “Even when we weren’t there, we were always pulling for them, always wanting the best for them, always wanting to see them succeed. It was always home.”
