NFL Notes: Bears, Bengals, Chargers, Colts, Saints, Seahawks & Vikings

 

Bears

• The Bears are distributing snaps equally between QBs Jordan Palmer and Jimmy Clausen. (Michael C. Wright)
• Clausen made “virtually no mistakes” on Saturday, while Palmer “struggled with accuracy” despite working with the third-team offense. (Michael C. Wright)

Bengals

• CBs Adam Jones and first-round pick Darqueze Dennard both had notable performances on Saturday. (Coley Harvey)
• Veteran CB Leon Hall, coming off of an Achilles tear, was able to participate in position-specific drills on Saturday, but was held out of most of the practice. (Coley Harvey)
• OL Clint Boling and Mike Pollak will rotate practice days on and off for the “foreseeable future.” (Coley Harvey)
• CB Dre Kirkpatrick pulled up with what appeared to be a right hamstring injury on Saturday. (Coley Harvey)

Chargers

• CBs Brandon Flowers, UDFA Chris Davis and veteran Richard Marshall all had good practices on Saturday. (Eric D. Williams)

Colts

• RB Trent Richardson missed his second straight practice on Saturday, but the Colts have said that they are taking precautionary measures with him. (Mike Wells)

Saints

• Free agent acquisition CB Champ Bailey has received the most looks as the team’s No. 2 cornerback. (Mike Triplett)
• CB Patrick Robinson has stood in practice thus far. (Mike Triplett)
• “Defensive highlights were few and far between on Saturday.” (Mike Triplett)

Seahawks

• The Seahawks’ starting right tackle job appears to be Justin Britt’s to lose. (Terry Blount)
• Former first-round pick G James Carpenter is “slimmer, faster and healthier than he ever has been.” (Terry Blount)

Vikings

• CBs Jabari Price, Kendall James and Shaun Prater all saw time at slot cornerback with Captain Munnerlyn out.  (Ben Goessling)
• The Vikings have used a nickel package with three safeties and also have  three-corner, one-safety base look in their defense. (Ben Goessling)
