NFL Notes: Bears, Broncos, Jets, Titans, Vikings

Bears

  • G Matt Slauson was wearing a sling over his injured shoulder following Sunday’s game. (Adam Jahns)

Broncos

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos’ contract offers to WR Demaryius Thomas and TE Julius Thomas remain on the table.

However, Klis adds that there has been no negotiating between these two players and the Broncos since August.

Jets

  • HC Rex Ryan mentioned after the game that he has “no idea” who will be the team’s starter in Week 9. (Judy Battista)
  • QB Michael Vick said: “I would love to start. I don’t mind that at all.” (Kimberly Jones)
  • QB Geno Smith had X-rays taken for an injury after Sunday’s game. (Rich Cimini)
  • A Jets’ spokesman said that Geno Smith has shoulder injury. (Kimberly Martin)

Titans

ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky reports that Titans WR Nate Washington suffered a sprained AC joint in his shoulder during Sunday’s loss to the Texans.

Washington’s name came up as a potential trade option for Tennessee, but this would likely remove him from any discussions if he were to miss time.

Vikings

  • WR Cordarrelle Patterson had a boot on his left foot following Sunday’s game. He apparently got injured on a kick return, but was able to finish the game with it. (Ben Goessling)
