Browns

Browns C Alex Mack declined to say whether he’ll exercise his right opt-out clause in his contract after this season and test the open market again in 2016.

“I’m going to defer,” Mack said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I’ll talk about that at the end of the season.”

Mack stressed that he has yet to make up his mind regarding the clause.

“No, absolutely not,” Mack said. “Let’s play the games, let’s see how the season goes. I’m really not interested in talking about that until after the season.”

Lions

Lions HC Jim Caldwell told reporters that they will likely use a running back committee given that Joique Bell, Ameer Abdullah, and Theo Riddick offer somewhat different skill sets.

Typically, now in this day and age, you generally don’t have just one guy at that position because it requires teamwork,” Caldwell said, via Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com. “It requires more than one or two, so there’s a role for all of those guys. The thing about it, we don’t have two guys the same for the most part. They all have a little different sort of strength and we can utilize that.

Ravens

  • Aaron Wilson reports that Ravens WR Michael Campanaro suffered a quadriceps injury during OTAs.
  • According to Wilson, the severity of Campanaro’s injury has yet to be determined.
