Buccaneers

  • Buccaneers GM Jason Licht said of their No. 1 overall pick: “All options are on the table, including trading the (top) pick. We’re leaning on using it right now.” (College Football 24/7)
  • Licht added that they have a favorite for their No. 1 overall pick, but they plan to allow the process to play out. (Around the NFL)
  • Licht reiterated that they like Mike Glennona lot.
  • After hearing Licht’s press conference, Jason La Canfora believes they’ll take Jameis Winston No. 1 overall.
  • Licht tells La Canfora that they’re open to trading players and have already been aggressive doing so.

Cardinals

  • GM Steve Keim said that Larry Fitzgerald‘s new contract is “essentially” a two-year deal. (Albert Breer)
  • Albert Breer points out that there’s $14.4 million in prorated money from Fitzgerald’s old deal that will need to be accounted for.
  • Keim mentioned that QB Carson Palmer could be ready for OTAs. (Kevin Patra)

Vikings

  • Ben Goessling takes a look at how the Vikings could possibly restructure RB Adrian Peterson‘s contract.
  • Interestingly enough, a league source tells Goessling that “at least one playoff team has indicated it would take on the running back’s deal” as it is.
