  • Bears HC John Fox announced Tuesday that LB Danny Trevathan will undergo thumb surgery, but this is not considered to be a season-ending procedure. (John Mullin)
  • Michael Ginnitti mentions that the Bears can move on from QB Jay Cutler next year while just taking on $2 million of dead money, considering that his guarantees will be out of the way.
  • Mike Garafolo points out that the Bears will have a decision regarding veteran OLB Lamarr Houston, as he’s due $6 million ni 2017 and has had two ACL tears.

  • Joel Corry points out that if TE Rico Gathers remains on the Cowboys’ practice squad for the entire season, he’ll make $449,990.
  • If the Cowboys were to keep him on their active roster, he would make $450,000.
