Bears

Cardinals

  • S Tyronn Mathieu told reporters on Wednesday that he expects to be back at practice in two to three weeks. (Josh Weinfuss)

Packers

  • First-round pick S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix continued to work with the first-team defense on Wednesday with Morgan Burnett out with an oblique strain. (Rob Demovsky)
  • Reps were increased for former first-round pick Derek Sherrod and Lane Taylor on Wednesday now that OL Don Barclay is done for the season with a torn ACL. (Rob Demovsky)
  • Despite the oblique strain, HC Mike McCarthy mentioned that Morgan Burnett is “day to day” and could play in Saturday’s game. (Rob Demovsky)

Saints

Seahawks

  • S Dion Bailey cleared waivers on Wednesday and has been reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
  • The Seahawks have won nine consecutive preseason games. (Terry Blount)
  • HC Pete Carroll told reporters that he doesn’t anticipate the starters seeing a lot of playing time in Thursday’s preseason opener. (Terry Blount)
  • Undrafted rookie MLB Brock Coyle has been “one of the biggest surprises in training camp.” (Terry Blount)
