NFL Notes: Bears, Cardinals, Saints, Seahawks, & Vikings

Bears

• Sources tell Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net that a number of teams including the Bears could look to sign a pair of corners in free agency.

Cardinals

• According to Alex Marvez, the Cardinals are, in fact, adding Larry Foote to their coaching staff, but he must decide if he wants to play before they’re forced to cut down their roster to 75 players.
• Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said that Foote is still undecided whether wants to still play next year. (Alex Marvez)

Saints

• Sources tell Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net that a number of teams including the Saints could look to sign a pair of corners in free agency.

Seahawks

• Seahawks GM John Schneider said they haven’t heard from RB Marshawn Lynch in recent days. Schneider did say that he’s been in contact with his representatives.
• Schneider said of Lynch’s decision: “We’d like to know soon. I’ve talked to his people. They know.” (Mike Garafolo)
• On the subject of a new contract for QB Russell Wilson, Schneider said that there’s no timeline for a deal to be in place.
• Schneider didn’t sound optimistic about retaining CB Byron Maxwell, but said that he wants to have him back.
• Schneider he expects Maxwell to have a strong market.

Vikings

• Vikings HC Mike Zimmer said they will have to do a better job of “manufacturing” touches for WR Cordarrelle Patterson. (Around The NFL)
