NFL Notes: Bears, Colts, Jets, Panthers, & Texans

Bears

  • Adam Jahns reports that the Bears are promoting Mark Sadowski to director of college scouting.
  • Sadowski will replaced Joe Douglas, who departing for a position with the Eagles.

Colts

  • Jason Cole is just the latest Insider to confirm that the expectation is that Andrew Luck will end up securing a contract that will pay him as the highest paid player in NFL history.
  • Cole’s source fully expects him to make over $22 million per year.
  • The expectation right now is that an agreement between the Colts and Luck won’t get done any time soon. Although, it’s still possibly they could have an agreement in place before the start of the season.

Jets

  • Rich Cimini reports that Jets have no plans to sign Odell Beckham Jr’s cousin, Terron Beckham, to a contract following his recent workout.

Panthers

  • Panthers signed second-round CB James Bradberry to a four-year deal.
  • Panthers signed seventh-round pick TE Beau Sandland to a four-year deal.

Texans

  • Texans signed undrafted free agent New Mexico OLB Ryan Langford to a contract. (Mark Berman)
