NFL Notes: Bears, Cowboys, Jets & Vikings

Bears

Bears G Kyle Long confirmed he will be able to play through the torn labrum in his shoulder.

“I can play football,” Long said, via the Chicago Sun Times.

Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that suspended DE Randy Gregory will work out at The Star and take part in team meetings as he serves his suspension, per Todd Archer.

However, Jones gave no indication as to when Gregory would be able to play or if he could play at all in 2016. Gregory is suspended for three more games, but could be suspended up to 10 games based on what happens with his appeal.

Jones said Gregory’s treatment is not over.

“He has not completed his rehab,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “He will have rehab for a long time. It’s arguable he may always rehab.”

Jets

  • Sources tell Jason Cole that Jets CB Darrelle Revis is out of shape and his Week 1 struggles were not due to his overall ability.
  • Cole adds that Revis couldn’t work out adequately because of offseason surgery, and he didn’t fully commit to working out his trainer this offseason.

Vikings

  • Ben Goessling mentions that the thinking around the Vikings at the end of last week was that Sam Bradford would likely start against the Packers.
  • Goessling adds: “We’ll see if that holds up.
