NFL Notes: Bears, Dolphins, Jaguars, Raiders, Steelers

Bears

Dolphins

Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report confirms a report that the Dolphins are trying to trade up into the top-10 for one of the top two receivers.

  • According to Cole, the Dolphins really like WVU WR Kevin White.
  • Cole specifically mentions that the Bears, Falcons, Giants and Raiders as teams that could consider moving down in the first round.

Jaguars & Raiders

Sources tell Jason Cole that the Jaguars would love to come away with either Florida DE/OLB Dante Fowler or USC DL Leonard Williams at No. 3 overall.

Cole mentions that Jaguars HC Gus Bradley has made use of smaller edge rushers in the past, which could lead to them taking Fowler over Williams, even though a number of evaluators believe Williams may end up being the better player.

However, there are still some within the Jaguars who believe Williams is versatile enough to play defensive end if needed.

According to Cole, the Raiders would “love” to see Jacksonville pass on Williams at No. 3, and Oakland has reportedly even considered the idea of moving up to get the USC product.

Steelers

  • Scott Brown of ESPN reports that UCF WR Breshard Perriman is visiting with the Steelers on Friday.
