NFL Notes: Bears, Dolphins, Seahawks, & Vikings

Bears

Bears RM Matt Forte admitted that he’s concerned about returning too early from an MCL sprain he sustained a few weeks ago and possibly impacting his future.

“That’s [a factor], if not the most important factor — the future,” Forte told reporters on Friday, via Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune. “Because if you go out there for one game and then ruin the rest of your season and maybe your career, then that’s a big factor. There’s a lot of football left to be played. So you don’t want to chance it for one game. That’s a lot of it.”

Dolphins

  • Dolphins LB Spencer Paysinger (neck) did not travel with the team for their Week 10 game against the Eagles, as he’s been downgraded to out.

Seahawks

Seahawks DE Cliff Avril told his father Jean Samuel, who unfortunately died in May, a while back that he wouldn’t play in the NFL for more than 10 years for health reasons.

“And I plan on it,” Avril said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “Unless something crazy happens and they’re offering me some ridiculous amount of money. Then he’d probably tell me to keep playing.”

Avril also mentioned that a concussion he sustained years ago forced him to strongly consider his future health.

“I freaked myself out, because I just had my son,” Avril said. “I was like, ‘If I was to ever have something that bad happen again, I would really consider retiring.’ How much money do you really need to live off of?

Vikings

  • Ben Goessling of ESPN reports that Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) has been cleared to in Week 10’s game against the Raiders.
  • Bridgewater was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
