Redskins

Redskins WR DeSean Jackson mentioned that he’s still focused on this season and not his impending free agency.

“People say what they want to say, or make comments and carry on conversations,” Jackson said, via ESPN.com. “I guess on that end they’re excited and happy. But I’m focused on being a Redskin and finishing strong.

“Once free agency comes, we’ll see how it plays out,” Jackson said. “This is the first time in my career I’ll hit the free-agent market, so I’m definitely intrigued about seeing what’s going to happen and test the market and see what’s going on. Who knows what will happen?”

Saints

Saints QB Drew Brees mentioned that he fully expects HC Sean Payton to back with the team next year, despite recent reports that a trade involving Payton was a possibility.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Brees said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “I’ve heard some of the same stuff that I heard last year, and I felt like I had a pretty good feeling last year. And I don’t see why it would be any different this year.
