NFL Notes: Bills, Browns, Buccaneers, Jaguars, & Redskins

Bills

Browns

Browns HC Mike Pettine said that Thursday’s final preseason game isn’t a make or break situation for WR Terrelle Pryor.

“I don’t want to say make or break,” said Pettine, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I’m not going to deal with an absolute, saying he has to play, but we want to see him out there. I can’t say today that he definitely will, but he should be. He was close to being able to go, and give it another week, we’re hopeful he’ll be out there and we’ll be able to see him.”

Buccaneers

Jaguars

Jaguars OC Greg Olson referred to second-year WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) as being like an “albino tiger at the zoo” due to the amount of practice he’s missed due to injury.

He’s to me like the albino tiger at the zoo,” Olson said, via Florida Times Union. “You get there and if you’re lucky enough to get him to come out of the cage and see him, it’s a good day.”

Redskins

A source close to Robert Griffin III tells Jeff Darlington that his clearance is  still entirely up to the league protocol and he won’t see a doctor until Friday at the earliest.

Because of this, the Redskins were forced to make a decision sooner than later, seeing as they’ve begun preparation for Week 1’s game against the Dolphins, per Darlington.

The team has had internal discussions about RGIII‘s future with the team, but Darlington mentions that this has more to do with circumstance than the team just wanting to move on from Griffin.
