Bills HC Sean McDermott said that they’re “optimistic” LT Cordy Glenn (foot) will be able to return soon.

“We’re just optimistic for Cordy to get back on the field,” McDermott said. “That’s the reports the doctors have given us, and Cordy feels good. Like I said the other day, he’s in good spirits and we’re moving in the right direction.”

Raiders HC Jack Del Rio said the competition between EJ Manuel and Connor Cook for the No. 2 job behind Derek Carr remains open, even though Manuel appears to be the leader right now.

“I think the time we had here and the first game the other night, I think [Manuel] has done a little more, done enough to be in the second slot,” Del Rio said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.

“I think they’ll continue to alternate reps and both get opportunities to show us,” Del Rio said. “=c.”
