Bills

  • Rookie WR Sammy Watkins sustained a hip injury during Sunday’s game, but the severity of it is unclear at this time. (Jay Skurski)

Cardinals

  • HC Bruce Arians said that WR Larry Fitzgerald will practice on Wednesday after missing the last two games due to a knee injury. (Darren Urban)

Falcons

  • HC Mike Smith said WR Roddy White‘s current ankle sprain is not as serious as the sprain he sustained last season that forced him to miss three weeks, and he expects White to play in Week 14. (Vaughn McClure)

Giants

Lions

Lions HC Jim Caldwell said that he believes in second chances and that RB Ray Rice will likely get another opportunity in the NFL, but added that they have no interest in signing him to a contract.

“We haven’t considered that at this point,” Caldwell said of signing Rice, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

I’m not real sure what’ll happen to him in the league.” Caldwell said. “Certainly, I do believe in second chances, as I’ve mentioned on several occasions, and at some point in time I think he will get one. When that’s going to happen, I don’t know.”

Redskins

  • HC Jay Gruden said he is unsure of the timetable regarding WR DeSean Jackson‘s fibula contusion, but said “he’ll be OK with time.” (Chris Russell)

    • Caldwell is implying that Rice is deserving of a second chance in the NFL.

      Birkett’s article is titled: “Caldwell: Ray Rice deserves 2nd chance, not with Lions” so he too interpreted this as Caldwell implying that Rice should get another shot at a football career.
