• Bills HC Rex Ryan confirmed that QB EJ Manuel will get majority of the reps in practice this week with Tyrod Taylor not being 100 percent healthy. (Chris Brown)

• Michael Gehlken reports that the Chargers are re-signing S Adrian Phillips to their practice squad.

Cowboys

• A Cowboys’ source tells Ian Rapoport regarding RB Christine Michael: “We’re definitely gonna use him more.“
• Rapoport adds that it wouldn’t be surprising to see Joseph Randle get the start with Michael seeing a similar number of snaps.
• Rookie DE Randy Gregory (high-ankle sprain) is expected to be back after their bye, according to Rapoport.

Jets

• Jets signed TE Wes Saxton to their practice squad.
• Jets released WR Titus Davis from their practice squad.

Steelers

• Ian Rapoport mentions that a Week 7 return for QB Ben Roethlisberger sounds “more likely” than him being back for this weekend’s game.
• Roethlisberger told reporters that he plans to participate in in 7-on-7 work in today’s practice, and would like to play this weekend. (Jeremy Fowler)
• According to Fowler, Roethlisberger said throwing is fine, but the next step for him is to improve his lateral movement.
