NFL Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Eagles, Lions, & Seahawks

Bills

Bills GM Doug Whaley said WR Sammy Watkins calf injury is not considered a “long-term” concern.

“Everything points to that it’s not that severe,” said Whaley, via BuffaloBills.com. “We’re hoping to see how he responds this week. We have our fingers crossed that he may be in this week.”

Dolphins

  • Albert Breer reports that the Dolphins interim coach Dan Campbell is expected to decide if DC Kevin Coyle will remain with the team on Tuesday.
  • Alex Marvez reports that Campbell told players they will practice differently following the reports that players told not to be ultra-competitive with starters such as QB Ryan Tannehill.

Eagles

Lions

Lions HC Jim Caldwell told reporters after Monday night’s game that DT Tyrunn Walker has a “significant” ankle injury.

I anticipate the doctor’s got to look at him and that kind of thing, but it’s pretty significant,” Caldwell said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Seahawks

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters after Monday night’s game that he’s “hoping” RB Marshawn Lynch will be “ready to go” for their Week 5 match up against the Bengals.

“His best day was today,” Carroll said, via Seahawks.com. “He ran pretty well in pregame, but they did not think he could sustain through the game and come out healthy again the next week.”
