NFL Notes: Bills, Lions, Packers, Saints, Titans, & Vikings

Bills

  • Rookie G Cyril Richardson got some more work with first-team offense at right guard on Friday. (Joe Buscaglia)

Lions

  • DT Ndamukong Suh caused havoc up the middle on Friday as the Lions’ defense outshined the first-team offense. (Michael Rothstein)
  • Kickers Nate Freese and Giorgio Tavecchio had their best day of practice on Friday as they combined to make 11 of 11 field goal attempts. (Michael Rothstein)
  • CBs Mohammed Seisay and Darius Slay have both had strong camps thus far, but Seisay is still a “longshot” to secure a roster spot. (Michael Rothstein)
  • WR Corey Fuller is “starting to catch some notice” among the team’s receivers. (Michael Rothstein)

Packers

  • TE Brandon Bostick had an “up-and-down day,” despite his strong start to camp overall. (Rob Demovsky)
  • DE/OLB Mike Neal saw several snaps at defensive end on Friday, so it appears as though he could play a hybrid role for the team. (Rob Demovsky)
  • New WR Gerrard Sheppard made two noteworthy plays in his first practice. (Rob Demovsky)

Saints

  • Undrafted rookie WR Brandon Coleman remains someone to keep an eye on, as his size — 6-foot-6, 225-pound —  and camp performance could leave him in contention for a roster spot. (Mike Triplett)

Titans

  • OLB Derrick Morgan has been “standing out on a regular basis” in training camp. (Jim Wyatt)

Vikings

  • OLB Anthony Barr continues to impress and Mike Zimmer mentioned that the first-round pick has a “strong” chance to start this year. (Ben Goessling)
  • Vikings quarterbacks, as a whole, were sloppy on Friday. (Ben Goessling)
