Brandon Marshall
Giants veteran WR Brandon Marshall mentioned Saturday that he plans to play another two seasons.
“Two more years, get my Super Bowl, have a little bit more fun, and then I’m going to go change the world in the mental health space,” Marshall said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
49ers
- Tim Kawakami, citing an NFL source, reports that the 49ers have parted ways with director of pro personnel Mike Williams and assistant director Quentus Cumby.
Chargers
- According to Eric Williams, the Chargers considered drafting another running back this year but declined to do so.
- Williams expects Branden Oliver and Kenjon Barner to compete for Danny Woodhead‘s role in their offense this summer.
- Beyond that, Andre Williams could end up being Melvin Gordon‘s direct backup in 2017, writes Williams.
Dolphins
Dolphins HC Adam Gase told reporters that QB Ryan Tannehill “looks normal” and “like he did last year” as he works his way back from an ACL injury.
“He looks normal to me,” Gase said, via Pro Football Talk. “He just looks like he did last year. The difference is he’s got a better grasp of the offense at this point compared to last year. He moves around fine. He’s got a good edge that I like to him right now. You can tell that he wasn’t real happy about getting hurt last year. I like the way he’s working right now, and we’ll just keep doing what we’ve been doing. I know he’s really trying to make sure that he’s one of the reasons that we’re taking the next step. He’s really been pushing himself.”
Gase wasn’t, however, willing to toss out a percentage in regards to where Tannehill is at in his recovery.
“I don’t know all the percentages and stuff,” Gase said. “All I know is he looks good to me.”
