NFL Notes: Brett Hundley, Draft, Cowboys, Lions, & Seahawks

Brett Hundley

  • Manish Mehta reports that the Jets are working out UCLA QB Brett Hundley.
  • According to Ian Rapoport, Hundley has also worked out for the Bengals and Eagles, and will meet with the Cardinals next week.

Draft

  • Greg Auman reports that Utah CB Eric Rowe is visiting with the Buccaneers on Thursday.
  • UCLA DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa will visit with Saints next week. (Aaron Wilson)
  • Adam Caplan reports that Colorado State T Tyler Sambrailo will end up meeting’working out for several teams including: the Colts, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Broncos, Falcons, and Chargers.
  • Texas Southern CB Tray Walker will visit with the Ravens, Chiefs, Raiders, Dolphins, Falcons, Packers, and Seahawks. (Aaron Wilson)

Cowboys

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Cowboys hosted FSU CB P.J. Williams for a visit on Tuesday, and are meeting with Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson on Thursday.
  • Dane Brugler reports that Ohio State WR Devin Smith is scheduled to meet with the Cowboys today.

Lions

  • Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press has spoken to several people who believe the Lions draft an offensive lineman in the first round.
  • Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions hosted Louisville WR DeVante Parker for a visit.
  • Twentyman adds that the Lions also hosted Arizona State DT Marcus Hardison for a pre-draft visit today.

Seahawks

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett denied a previous report that said he asked to be traded to the Falcons.

“I never asked for it. I didn’t come to them asking for a trade,” Bennett said during an interview with 710 ESPN Seattle, per Bob Condotta. “I’m still trying to figure out how a guy from Dallas (the report came from Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Clarence Hill) make up a story about me, I’m living in Seattle, I’m like how does that happen? I’m in Hawaii surfing, got the kids surfing in the ocean and they are talking about something else.

  1. Had to dig to find anything about CB Tray Walker. At 6’2″ and 195 lbs. teams must like his size. I could only find him on one draft board and he was ranked at #822. I could see the Packers maybe drafting him in the 6th or 7th round to make sure they get him in training camp.
