NFL Notes: Broncos, Browns, Raiders

Broncos

Broncos C Matt Paradis has been medically cleared to resume football activity after recovering from offseason surgeries on his hip.

“I never was that worried,’’ Paradis said, via Mike Klis of 9News. “I might have been worried about quality. And that’s something we’re still going to have to work out. But man, they’re feeling great. I guess I never realized how much pain I was in previously and now it’s like, “You mean I’m not supposed to be in pain all day, every day?’’

Paradis is expected to participate in “most” on-field drills when training camp starts later this month.

Browns

• Pat McManamon of ESPN notes that recently acquired QB Brock Osweiler‘s $16 million cap number is the highest on the team, while his salary is fully guaranteed whether or not the Browns decide to release him.
• McManamon believes that the Browns could release CB Joe Haden if he is unable to remain healthy this season. Haden is set to make $11.1 million in 2018 and $10.4 million the next season.

Raiders

Raiders RG Gabe Jackson said Khalil Mack, Derek Carr and himself were all committed to turning things around for the organization after they were all drafted in 2014.

“We didn’t know the time frame and all this, but I remember rookie year, me, Khalil and DC, we always talked about the change coming and how we were going to turn things around,” Jackson said, SiriusXM NFL Radio. “And Derek always kept encouraging us that things would get better, so me and Khalil always said, ‘Derek, he knows something’s about to happen with us.’ And he was right.”
