Buccaneers OL Demar Dotson ended his holdout and finally reported to mandatory minicamps after missing voluntary OTAs.
Dotson explained that financial considerations were obviously the reason for him ending his holdout.
“I didn’t want to lose any money,” Dotson said, via the Tampa Tribune. “It would have been like $100,000 [in total fines], and I don’t have $100,000 to lose. I want to keep my money. (Besides), that’s the only way to keep negotiations going.”
“They weren’t going to negotiate with me staying out, so I think this was the best move to make,” Dotson said, “[Negotiations] haven’t started yet, but I think it’s going to be real soon.”
