NFL Notes: Broncos, Buccaneers, Raiders, Ravens, & Texans

Broncos

Broncos QB Peyton Manning was noncommittal about his future and whether he’ll be back for next season.

Yeah, I guess I can’t just give that simple answer,” said Manning, via The Denver Post. “I’m processing it. So I can’t say that. I could not say that.

That’s kind of what I’ve said all along. But I can’t answer every what-if circumstance,” said Manning. “What if you’re not as healthy? What if certain coaches leave? I can’t answer every what-if situation. I think I’ll have to take some time to see how I feel, see how I feel physically.

Buccaneers

  • Despite a report that Cowboys DC Rod Marinelli is expected to be the next defensive coordinator of the Buccaneers, Ian Rapoport reports that Tampa Bay has yet to contact him.

Ravens

Raiders

Jerry McDonald of the Mercury News writes that the Raiders’ head-coaching search may have accelerated Sunday after the Broncos lost to the Colts.

Oakland reportedly as Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio as one of their finalists for the job. Now that Denver has been eliminated, Del Rio is free to meet with an accept a head-coaching offer from a prospective team.
