Broncos

• Undrafted rookie RB Juwan Thompson is making a strong case for a roster. (Jeff Legwold)

Buccaneers

• HC Lovie Smith specifically mentioned FB Jorvorskie Lane, LB Danny Lansanah, DL Scott Solomon and rookie WR Robert Herron as “under-the-radar players” in contention for roster spots. (Pat Yaskinskas)

Cardinals

• OLB John Abraham remains in rehab and could miss another week of training camp before he reports to the team. (Mike Jurecki) 

Cowboys

• QB Tony Romo confirmed that he’ll play the Cowboys’ second preseason game. (Tim MacMahon)
• Jerry Jones mentioned that ILB Rolando McClain has been “really impressive.” (Jon Machota)

Jets

• OC Marty Mornhinweg acknowledged that the Jets could use QB Michael Vick as a “change-of-pace quarterback.” (Rich Cimini)
