NFL Notes: Broncos, Colts, Lions, Panthers, & Rams

Broncos 

• Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post reports the Broncos hired Jeff Davidson as their new offensive line coach.
• According to Mike Klis, the Broncos will retain strength and conditioning coach Luke Richesson.

Colts

• Colts P Pat McAfee said he will opt for knee surgery this offseason instead of participating in the Pro Bowl. (Zak Keefer)

Lions

• According to Albert Breer, the Lions blocked QBs coach Brian Callahan from taking at least one interview this month and intend to keep him with the team for the foreseeable future.
• Breer mentions that Callahan was considered on the “cusp” of landing an offensive coordinator job this offseason.

Panthers

• Panthers K Graham Gano underwent surgery on Friday to repair a broken bone in the heel of his planting foot. He also admits that he played through the injury during the final three weeks of the season. (Joseph Person)

Rams

• Charles Robinson heard “for a while” that the Rams intend to let players signed by former HC Jeff Fisher like WR Kenny Britt and CB Trumaine Johnson reach free agency. However, Robinson is curious to see if new HC Sean McVay will choose to retain them.
