NFL Notes: Broncos, Eagles, Jets, Seahawks

Broncos

Broncos HC Vance Joseph was asked if they have any interest in possibly re-signing veteran WR Eric Decker. However, Joseph explained that with their young additions, there’s not room for anyone right now.

We’ve drafted two young guys that we’re excited about. It’s a full room, guys,” Joseph said, via Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post. “It’s going to be tough to find six to make our roster. We can’t add anyone right now. We’re satisfied with what we got in that room.”

Joseph added that they’re “not really” interested in free agent TE Gary Barnidge.

Eagles

Eagles DE Marcus Smith mentioned that there wasn’t a specific reason why he skipped OTAs or than they were voluntary.

“There wasn’t a reason,” Smith said, via PhillyVoice.com. “It was voluntary, and I just stayed at home and trained.

Smith was asked if he or his agent has asked the Eagles to release him.

“No,” Smith said. “I still want to make this team. I still want to be a part of the Philadelphia Eagles.”

Smith added that he expects to not only be on the team this year, but also have a great season for the Eagles.

“I’m expecting to be on the team,” Smith said. “I’m expecting to play. I’m expecting to have a great year.”
