NFL Notes: Broncos, Eagles, Saints, Titans

Broncos

  • Broncos G Ron Leary has cleared the league’s concussion protocol, but remains as questionable for Week 2. (Patrick Smyth)

Eagles

After totaling justĀ 46 yards on 14 carries during a Week 1’s win over the Redskins, Eagles RB LeGarrette Blount explained that it’s going to take some time for their rushing attack to be as effective as they would like.

“It takes more than one game and it takes more than a couple carries a quarter or however we did it last week. Obviously, it wasn’t effective,” Blount said, via ESPN.com. “We’ve got to get more yardage than what we produced out there. I’ve got to do a better job at running the ball and breaking tackles and making guys miss. The offensive line, they did a great job opening up holes.

“It’s early in the season so we’re going to continue to work at it, going to continue to rep it and get better and better at it. [Eagles coach] Doug [Pederson] has made it a priority so that’s one of the things we want to get done, for sure.

Saints

Titans

  • Cameron Wolfe of ESPN believes the Titans will have a more balanced offense after passing the ball 41 times in Week 1, compared to just 21 total run attempts.
  • Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official site believes first-round WR Corey Davis will be “plenty involved” in the offense after receiving a team-high 10 pass targets during Week 1.
