NFL Notes: Browns, Buccaneers, Falcons, Ravens, & Saints

Browns

Pat McManamon of ESPN.com believes 2013 third-round pick CB Leon McFadden‘s time with the Browns could already be coming to an end.

Buccaneers

Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com has the Buccaneers keeping six running backs, despite the fact that there has been speculation that one of Mike James, Bobby Rainey and Jeff Demps could be left off the team’s roster.

Falcons

ESPN’s Vaughn McClure left Falcons’ 2012 third-round pick OT Lamar Holmes off of his projected 53-man roster.

  • McClure believes veteran DE Osi Umenyiora could see time as a designated pass-rusher, but he doesn’t sound convinced that Umenyiora is guaranteed to make the team.

Ravens

Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com projects QB Tyrod Taylor to remain Joe Flacco‘s backup this season with Keith Wenning being the team’s No. 3 option.

  • Hensley doesn’t have former second-round pick DT Terrence Cody making the team.
  • Hensley mentions that Kelechi Osemele and Ryan Jensen‘s versatility could allow the Ravens to part ways with former third-round pick Jah Reid.
  • Hensley has the Ravens keeping five receivers on their 53-man roster, which means Jeremy Butler, Michael Campanaro, Deonte Thompson and LaQuan Williams would be competing for a single roster spot.

Saints

Mike Triplett of ESPN.com has undrafted free agent QB Ryan Griffin beating out veteran Luke McCown for the team’s backup quarterback job.
