Browns

  • Browns QB Robert Griffin IIIĀ (concussion) is expected to miss Week 17’s season-finale against the Steelers. (Nate Ulrich)

Chargers

  • Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Chargers are expected to begin their search for a new head coach soon, as the team is “almost certain” to fire HC Mike McCoy after the end of the regular season.
  • According to La Canfora, the Chargers are getting ready to make a head coaching change since they are on the verge of relocating to Los Angeles. Additionally, the team’s results the past two years have been not been encouraging.

Raiders

  • Although the Raiders hope QB Derek Carr would have surgery on Sunday to repair his broken fibula, Ian Rapoport writes it may not be feasible since finding the best surgeons would be difficult on Christmas day.

Texans

Texans RB Lamar Miller (ankle) said he is not sure if he will play in Week 17’s season finale.

I’m not sure,” Miller said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “It’s out of my hands.”

However, Miller said, “of course,” when asked if he could return from injury next week.
