NFL Notes: Browns, Cowboys, Jaguars, Rams, & Titans

Browns

  • Jeremy Fowler reports that the Browns could be a team to watch for Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong tonight.

Cowboys

  • Peter Schrager reports that the Cowboys were “very tempted” by Nebraska DE/OLB Randy Gregory at No. 27 overall.
  • However, Dallas elected to take UConn CB Byron Jones, who has no character flaws.

Jaguars

  • Michael DiRocco suggests running back, receiver and free safety as three positions that the jaguars could target in the second and third rounds of the draft.
  • Some targets fro Jacksonville could include: RBs Ameer Abdullah, Tevin Coleman, Jay Ajayi, David Johnson and Duke Johnson; WRs Devin Smith, Dorial Green-Beckham and Jaelen Strong; DBs Landon Collins and Eric Rowe.

Rams

  • Britt McHenry reports that the Rams had RB Todd Gurley atop their draft board from the get go.
  • According to McHenry, the Rams are likely to target interior offensive line help today.

Titans

  • The Titans were reportedly high Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong during the draft process and hold the No. 33 overall pick. (Jeremy Fowler)
