NFL Notes: Browns, Saints, & Vikings

Browns

• According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns contract-year S Tashaun Gipson appears to be poised to play out his restricted tender and test the free agent market next year.
• Cabot thinks the Browns will be willing to offer Gipson “fair market value“, but their focus is likely to remain on building through the draft.

Saints

• ESPN’s Mike Triplett expects Keenan Lewis and Brandon Browner to be the Saints’ top-two cornerbacks this year with rookies P.J. Williams and Damian Swann making the 53-man roster.
• Triplett considers Delvin Breaux a “front-runner” for one of the two remaining roster spots at corner.
• Stanley Jean-Baptiste could be the final cornerback on the team’s roster, which leaves Kyle Wilson, Terrence Frederick, and Brian Dixon on the outside looking in.

Vikings

• Matt Vensel mentions that CB Josh Robinson (pectoral) is a candidate to open the year on the team’s reserve/PUP list.
• In the event Minnesota places Robinson on the PUP list, he would miss the first six weeks of the season.
