Texans OLB Whitney Mercilus said he expects to be completely recovered from a lingering hamstring injury in time for training camp.
“I’m feeling good, starting to get healthy,” Mercilus said, via Aaron Wilson. “I’ve been here for an extra two weeks since we’ve been out just rehabbing and things like that, just making sure I’m on pace to make it back for training camp.”
Mercilus went on to say that he is scheduled to meet with a specialist in Los Angeles this week.
“I get to work with a specialist who has worked with [Green Bay Packers linebacker] Clay Matthews,” Mercilus said. “It helped him. I trust the guy and trained with him three years ago.“
