NFL Notes: Caleb Brantley, Verizon, Undrafted Rookies, Eagles

Caleb Brantley

Mary Kay Cabot reports that Browns sixth-round DT Caleb Brantley has yet to be formally charged with misdemeanor battery.

As of now, Brantley’s case is still under review by the State Attorney’s office.

“He has not been charged,” said Darry Lloyd, a spokesman for the State Attorney tells Cabot. “A sworn complaint was received from (the Gainesville police) alleging that he committed the (crime). The agency is not sure, and it’s our job to review the information they submitted and make a formal charging decision.

Brantley is due to report to the start of Browns’ rookie minicamp on next Thursday, but Cabot says it remains to be seen whether he’ll be charged by then.
