Cardinals

• Cardinals suspended LB Daryl Washington tells Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 in a text message exchange that he’s “confident that something will work out” in regards to him being reinstated by the NFL.

Chiefs

Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters that he hopes to have OLB Justin Houston for the start of the team’s training camp.

“Whether he’s here or not, that just depends on how things go,” Reid said, via the Kansas City Star. “So we’ll continue to move on and hope that he is here at the beginning of camp.”

Eagles

Eagles HC Chip Kelly said that he’s seen improvement from QB Tim Tebow since he arrived in Philadelphia.

“I have seen an improvement from Tim since the day we got him in terms of his knowledge of what we’re doing, understanding where everybody is,” Kelly said, via the Delaware County Daily Times. “There’s a whole process, and for him what we have done is different than what he’s done anywhere else. So in terms of learning our terminology and how we do things, I think each week you’ve seen an incremental bump in him, so we’re excited to see where that takes him and it’ll be a good competition as we get into August.”

Titans

• Paul Kuharsky of ESPN has seen a “lot of progress” from No. 2 overall pick QB Marcus Mariota.
• Kuharsky adds that Mariota has been “better at this stage than I imagined he could be.”
