NFL Notes: Cardinals, Colts, Patriots, Vikings

Cardinals

Colts

  • Stephen Holder mentions that the Colts aren’t skipping any steps in regards to their plan to get Andrew Luck healthy enough to return.
  • Holder adds that if the Colts and Luck stay on schedule, there’s almost no way he would be ready in time for their Week 7 game against the Jaguars.
  • Instead, Holder says that its possible Luck could be back in Week 8 when they take on the Bengals.
  • Colts HC Chuck Pagano said that S Clayton Geathers (neck) could return within the next two weeks: “A week to maybe two weeks. He’s getting closer.” (Stephen Holder)

Patriots

Patriots TE Dwayne Allen explained that he hasn’t played up to his potential and hasn’t received very many opportunities in the passing game.

It’s kind of hard. The role that I’m in right now, I don’t get as many passing opportunities, but that’s part of the game,” said Allen, via Mike Reiss of ESPN. “You own up to your role, you embrace it, and you continue to get better. It’s all about the team winning at the end of the day.
