NFL Notes: Cardinals, Cowboys, Eagles, & Ravens

Cardinals

  • Cardinals GM Steve Keim referred to third-round pick RB David Johnson as a “three-down back,” and could return kickoffs as a rookie. (Mike Jurecki)

Cowboys

  • ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that “some people in the league think there are mental health issues” with Cowboys DE Randy Gregory. (Pro Football Talk)

Eagles

  • Eagles HC Chip Kelly tells reporters that he hasn’t received any trade inquiries for ILB Mychal Kendricks and expects him to be on the team this season. (Sheil Kapadia)
  • Kelly says he made “some phone calls” to tell guys they’re not on trade block. However, Geoff Mosher reports that Kelly did not call CB Brandon Boykin and ILB Mychal Kendricks were not called.
  • Mosher adds that I was told OLB Vinny Curry was informed before the draft that he wasn’t getting dealt.
