NFL Notes: Cardinals, Cowboys, Redskins & Steelers

Cardinals

  • Cardinals HC Bruce Arians told reporters Friday night that WR Larry Fitzgerald has a slight MCL sprain.
  • According to Ian Rapoport, the injury is “nothing serious”, as Fitzgerald was able to run pre and post game.

Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reiterated that he can’t see them bringing in a veteran quarterback, despite showing interest in some available options a few weeks ago.

“I don’t see a veteran quarterback on the scene or coming in,” Jones said, via NFL.com “as long as we got the uptick arrow of Dak Prescott and, certainly, (Jameill) Showers is included as well.”

Redskins

  • Jason La Canfora believes the Redskins should bring in former Ravens RB Ray Rice for a workout, considering their need for help at the position and the shoulder injury sustained by Matt Jones last night.

Steelers

In an attempt to show that he’s changed, Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell posted a video on Friday taking responsibility for the missed drug tests that resulted in the recent three-game suspension.

However, Bell mentioned that he hasn’t smoked marijuana since December of 2014. The problem here is that he received a two-game suspension for marijuana possession and DUI in August of 2014, so this would be news to the NFL.

Bell has since deleted the video.
