NFL Notes: Chiefs, Patriots, Redskins, & Saints

Chiefs

  • Jason La Canfora still expects NFL teams to show interest in possibly trading for Chiefs backup QB Chase Daniels, despite his salary which could be a concern for some teams.

Patriots

  • Former NFL team doctor David Chao believes Patriots FB James Develin sustained a fractured tibia during Friday night’s game, and will subsequently miss the entire season.

Redskins

Dianna Marie Russini reports that the Redskins’ players haven’t been informed that QB Robert Griffin III won’t play in tomorrow’s preseason game.

Who is starting tomorrow?” asked one Redskins player.

According to Jeff Darlington, RGIII is “confused” with how the Redskins are handling this situation, seeing as they announced he was cleared of having a concussion only to change that after an independent neurologist.

Saints

  • Mike Triplett of ESPN reports that Saints RB Khiry Robinson‘s injury is minor and won’t affect his status for the regular season.
  • However, it’s unlikely that Robinson will be available for their preseason matchup against the Texans.
